mizinga community birth centre

Research helps us to tell a story. This is one of many.

The many women who participated in our projects described the difficulties in caring for themselves and their families during pregnancy and childbirth. This newly built Mizinga Community Health Centre, which features only natural medicine, is run by Ms. Nabukenya Jane. It provides a safe setting for women to receive prenatal care, birth care, fertility care, and antenatal care. Currently, the clinic treats about 12 women per week. Important projects such as this one highlight the ways in which caregiver needs can be met within their local communities.
